KALEIDOSCOPE | interactive animation
I created this interactive digital kaleidoscope in conjunction with a poster to promote an open-mic spoken word performance in honor of National Poetry Month. I layered handwritten letters, poems, lyrics, and other found works — each representing a unique voice—in shades of red to portray the vibrant, creative, collaborative atmosphere of the event. This kaleidoscope gives the user power to manipulate a fragmenting image into a seemingly infinite number of combinations, not unlike how a spoken word artist can creatively interpret language.
