RICHARD EBERHART | book jacket
I designed a book jacket for Richard Eberhart’s collection of selected poems. I took photographs of dandelions gone to seed to use as a metaphor for the recurring theme in much of Eberhart’s work: life and death in the natural environment. The light and dark contrast of the imagery enhances this comparison, while the juxtaposition of the landscape photograph within the detail shot hints at Eberhart’s literary play between the general and the specific. 5.5” x 8”
